In 2010, when the economic downturn began affecting the dealerships, Chad and Sandy Bishop decided to start Carolina Truck Care, Inc. In the beginning, they did not have a shop, so Chad worked out of his pickup for the first six months doing onsite maintenance and repairs. They rented their first shop in late 2010, and have since upgraded twice, bringing us to our current space and location at 50 King Line in Spartanburg.
We enjoy our business because it's gratifying to repair broken trucks. We also love interacting with the public and seeing satisfied customers. Providing quality repairs and maintenance to our customers’ equipment is very important to us.
“My area of expertise is electronic diagnostics and transmission repairs. I have a computer science degree which assists greatly in understanding the complexities of today's trucks."
“I also completed a two year diesel mechanic vocational school program while in high school. After high school, I joined the USMC where I was a Light Armored Vehicle mechanic. When my active duty service was over, I worked in various dealerships such as Kenworth, Ford, Western Star, Mack, and Volvo, where I enhanced my skills as a technician.”
